Michael Lai will put politics aside and get things done for the city.

As Supervisor, Michael will work to:

  • Fully fund public safety to get more police officers out on the beat

  • Arrest drug dealers & abolish open air drug markets

  • Stop organized crime, flagrant retail theft, and home/car break-ins

  • Get the homeless off the street and into treatment

  • Cut permit times for small businesses to help fill vacant storefronts

  • Improve pedestrian safety by increasing traffic enforcement & adding stop-lights and cameras

  • Champion sensible housing policies

  • Make sure City Hall listens, especially to residents of District 11 who often feel neglected

As an educator, Michael Lai will go to work immediately for all families.

Meet Michael Lai

Michael Lai, a first-generation Chinese immigrant, achieving the American Dream through education and hard work.

As an educator, he founded Tinycare early education programs, expanded Minerva University, and served as a volunteer teacher. 

Involved in community organizing and public service, Michael has led efforts like Lunar New Year events and volunteering at Glide.

He aims to address public safety, affordable housing, childcare, and support for small businesses.

The race for District 11 Supervisor is an open seat. The neighborhoods include: Excelsior, Outer Mission, Crocker Amazon, Ingleside, Ingleside Terraces, Merced Heights, and Ocean View.
